Description:

LearningRT is proud to present a practical learning delivery skills bootcamp that will enrich your trip to the 2014 Annual Sessions. Our facilitator, Royce Kitts of Washburn University, will show you how to create effective video learning content from the “why are we making this” stage to “this is how you make it” stage. As a participant, you will work your way through the entire process from project design and objectives to shooting, recording and editing your video. Along the way you will encounter best practices, learning object development skills and effective methods to promote your newly created learning objects.

You will be shooting your own movie, so you should have your own device capable of recording video, a laptop (with either Windows Movie Maker or iMovie,) and be able to transfer the video you shoot from your device to your computer. Participants will leave with an authentic hands on experience able to create projects at their own library. Royce Kitts is currently Coordinator of the Carnegie Education Library at Washburn University, former director of the Tonganoxie (KS) Public Library and past president of the Kansas Library Association.
