Do you help patrons work on their genealogy, discover the history of their house, or find primary sources for their research papers? New Professionals Section (NPS) Planning Meeting

First half: we have a pair of speakers on service to diverse populations. Catherine Soehner (University of Utah) will discuss her library's expanded services for students who are also parents/guardians through implementing a Family Reading Room. Elena Soltau (Nova Southeastern University) will discuss programming ideas in a joint-use library, along with suggestions on planning programs for a culturally diverse audience. Both Catherine and Elena have been engaged with NPS since Midwinter, and we're happy to hear their advice for new professionals.

Second half: Tyler Dzuba (University of Rochester; NPS Section Chair) will lead a conversation about where NPS stands currently, how the section will be forming new Project Teams, and what ideas participants have to move the section forward.
