A tighter integration of library services with teaching and learning environments enables the library to be more visible to faculty and students, to optimize the use of the content it acquires and licenses, and to make informed decisions when developing its physical, digitized, and electronic collections.

The session will discuss the integration between course management systems, discovery systems, and library management systems. It will focus on cross-system workflows and optimal user experience for all stakeholders—faculty, students, and library staff. The work done by a Northwestern University Library team to integrate their Blackboard course management system and the Primo discovery system will be described.
